If you are looking to heal from anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, grief and/or PTSD, I may be the counselor for you. If you are a perfectionist, have a tough inner critic, and/or could benefit from relaxation and self-compassion, I can assist. Working with multicultural clients who want to be heard and supported in their experience is my passion and discovering their own needs verses prescribing my own. If interested in working with me, it would be an honor and privilege to come alongside you as you embark on the journey of healing and growth.
My passion is working with those who have experienced trauma in their childhood. Connecting the client with their inner child requires gentleness, understanding and compassion. My hope is the therapeutic relationship will be a catalyst for healthier future relationships.
The special factors unique to my practice is incorporating play therapy with adults. It is important to connect the clients with the child they once were, able to live in the moment, being fully present, with peace and joy. If they have no memories of being a carefree child, we begin creating a whole new experience of living reducing and better managing fear and anxiety.
The theoretical approaches I use are person-centered, CBT, solution focused, narrative, play and bibliotherapy.
